This Privacy Policy describes how Mr IT Pte Ltd (“Mr IT”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and discloses personal data when you visit or make a purchase from mrit.com.sg (the “Site”), in accordance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”).
Personal Data We Collect
When you place an order, we collect the information needed to fulfil it: your name, delivery address, phone number, email address, and order details. We do not collect or store your full payment card or bank account details – payment is made via PayNow, which you complete directly through your own banking app, and we only see confirmation that a payment reference matches your order.
When you browse the Site, our platform (WordPress/WooCommerce) automatically records some technical information, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit, and sets cookies needed to keep your cart and session working. We also use WooCommerce’s built-in order attribution feature, which uses cookies to record which page or link led you to place an order (for example, a search engine or social media post) – this helps us understand which of our own marketing efforts are working, and is not shared with advertisers.
How We Use Your Personal Data
- To process and fulfil your order, including confirming payment and arranging collection or delivery;
- To communicate with you about your order, including via WhatsApp or email if you contact us that way;
- To maintain accounting and inventory records as required for our business operations;
- To understand how customers find and use the Site, so we can improve it; and
- To comply with our legal obligations, including responding to lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use it for purposes beyond those stated here without your consent.
Who We Share Data With
We share personal data only where necessary to operate the Site and fulfil your order: our web hosting provider, our payment verification process (PayNow, via your own bank), and, where you choose delivery instead of self-collection, whichever courier you arrange or we engage on your behalf. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
Data Retention
We retain order records for as long as needed for accounting, warranty, and legal purposes. If you would like us to delete personal data we hold about you that we are not otherwise required to keep, contact us using the details below.
Your Rights Under the PDPA
Subject to the exceptions permitted under the PDPA, you have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you;
- Request correction of personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
